Skilled navigators, fishermen and weavers, the Waraos build villages on stilts from “moriche” palm trunks and use palm fibre for making hammocks and baskets. The tropical flora and a fauna such as macaws, great parrots, jaguars, crocodiles, monkeys, fishes, snakes, freshwater dolphins, reveal the variety of the Delta.
