Our tour starts in Bogota, allowing you to see Colombia’s capital city and its beating heart. With a vibrant nightlife and healthy cultural scene, Bogota will undoubtedly leave its mark on you.
From Bogota you will visit the fascinating salt mines of Zipaquira and the rustic, charming Villa de Leyva, a town that time forgot. With its huge main square and laid back ambiance, Villa de Leyva has become one of the top tourist destinations in Colombia.
Leaving there, you will have the opportunity to see Colombia’s famous Coffee Triangle, where the scenery is every bit as good as the coffee and, together, form an unforgettable experience.
There are many optional activities to add to this tour, so just let us know if you’d like to go horseback riding up in the Cocora Valley, mountain climbing in Suesca, or visit impressive waterfalls, lakes and much, much more.
1.DAY ARRIVAL BOGOTÁ
Arrival at Airport Bogotá. Welcome by English speaking local guide and transfer to Hotel Excelsior Suites. 2 Nights including Breakfast.
After Breakfast City Tour Bogotá: This guided visit to the Colombian capital starts at the Plaza de Bolívar (the city’s main square) and government buildings situated around it and continues in the old colonial part of the city better known as “La Candelaria”, the San Francisco Church and the Gold Museum (closed on Mondays). The tour finishes with a trip in a funicular railway or cable car to the top of the Monserrate Hill offering a spectacular view of the city.
3. DAY BOGOTÁ – VILLA DE LEYVA
Tour to Villa de Leyva, via Zipaquirá. Arrival in Villa de Leyva, 2 Nights in Hotel Quinta Real, including Breakfast.
At dawn we leave Bogota via the Northern Expressway, after around 1 hour, we arrive at Zipaquira. Upon arrival you will be able to visit the fully functioning Salt Cathedral. This unique building was constructed approximately 120 meters underground in what used to be a salt mine. Afterwards we continue our trip via nort and arrive at the most important monument in Colombian history: the “Boyacá Bridge”. On that bridge Simón Bolívar fought and won his most decisive battle against Spanish settlers. Our trip continues on to Tunja, capital city of the department of Boyaca. After a brief stop in Tunja we go on to Villa de Leyva, one of the most beautiful and well-preserved colonial villages in South America. In the afternoon we arrive at the hotel Quinta Real and afterwards we stroll through the village of Villa de Leyva visiting the central plaza with its churches, restaurants and handicraftshops.
4.DAY VILLA DE LEYVA
In the morning we visit Villa de Leyva, and the “Ecce Homo” Dominican convent, constructed in the XVII century. Later in the day visit of Ráquira, a village of quaint and colorful little houses, famous for its pottery and ceramics
5.DAY VILLA DE LEYVA – COFFEE REGION
After Breakfast transfer to airport in Bogotá and Flight to Armenia. Arrival, transfer to Hotel Finca Combia . 3 Nights including breakfast
6.DAY COFFEE REGION
After breakfast we head on to the Cocora Valley. Its breathtaking landscapes will be explored by a horse riding or walking trip, this is one of the most beautiful places in Colombia. Here we will find the impressive “Palma de Cera”, the Colombian national tree and one of the tallest varieties of palm in the world. On the way back to Armenia we visit Salento a picturesque village in the middle of the coffee landscape.
In the afternoon visit to a coffeegrowing plantation.
7.DAY COFFEE REGION
Today you will have the time to do adventure and sport activities such as zipline canopy tour, rafting, river float trip or horse riding. Following options are possible:

c. Kayaking or Rafting
8.DAY DEPART COFFEE REGION
Transfer to airport and flight to next destination. (B)
