My name is Maria and I am originally from El Salvador but brought up in Australia.
I started my career in travel more than 10 years ago and although I have been to many
parts of the world my passion is always Latin America.
By far the best travel adventure that I have had so far would have to be South America! Home to so many different cultures and languages, it has a welcoming passion to its visitors of open hands and hearts for everyone that visits. Whether it is beach, desert, mountains or snow, it is the one place that can offer that and much more to all types of travellers!
South America to me is like no other places I’ve visited, the locals I got to meet while travelling and the places I was lucky enough to visit will forever stay with me! Cities such as Buenos Aires with its European lifestyle and its amazing Tango shows took me back in time, the city is truly a unique, resilient and creative place that has so much to offer its visitors; then there is sunny Rio de Janeiro with its tropical weather and its carnival lifestyle, makes you want to not leave it but spend more time soaking up the sun with amazing backgrounds such as the famous Christ the Redeemer or the beautiful sugar loaf mountain!
Further travels took me to Lima the City of Kings, Cuzco once the capital of the Inca Empire, Machu Picchu the lost Citadel, Lake Titicaca the world’s highest navigable body of water and La Paz the city that touches the clouds; all which I loved and would easily go back to further explore each one of them however the one city that I absolutely loved and could possibly spend another week or two would have to be Cuzco! With is colonial buildings and its rich history, I can easily see myself spending time exploring and reading more about this unique city like no other.
